Hotel Alpenaussicht is a Nature Watch partner with an attractive programme of observation in the great outdoors.
Nature Watch offers a voyage of discovery to the unspoilt world of the Ötz Valley Nature Park. With a professionally trained guide and a pair of high-precision Swarovski binoculars, you will achieve a wholly new perception of the natural environment – with concentrated observation for unforgettable moments. You will take a new look at the Alps, discover the habitats of the marmot and the ibex, and immerse yourself in carpets of colour produced by the alpine flora. With the right equipment, even the smallest details are visible over long distances. Nature Watch shows you the mountains at their most beautiful. Come and discover a world that normally remains invisible!
Hotel Alpenaussicht is the only Nature Watch hotel in Austria that is located at 2000 meters above sea-level on the brink of the eternal ice!

Ötz Valley Nature Park – glaciers at your fingertips
The latest nature park to be opened in the Tyrol has an area of about 380 km˛ and comprises mostly alpine and high-alpine terrain shaped by glacial ice. The mountain village of Obergurgl and the Hotel Alpenaussicht are located at the heart of the Ötz Valley Nature Park and offer a perfect base for discovering the area. The Ötz Valley Nature Park has been created in the interest of nature conservation and landscape protection, healthy recreation, education and regional development.
